Current Projects: 

State Child Abuse Model Protocol Expansion- the Data Collection, Evaluation, Research and Protocol Workgroup is working on an additional protocol on Drug Endangered Children to put in the state model child abuse protocol. This piece will include guidelines for law enforcement and medical providers, as well as a separate piece for school social workers.         

 

Medical Guidelines Evaluation- Law enforcement personnel (county sheriffs and city police chiefs), DFCS directors and emergency room personnel throughout Georgia are participating in this evaluation to see whether the current Medical Guidelines are useful and effectively in protecting children found in Methamphetamine clandestine laboratories.
